1.BHAKT-VATSAL BHAYA HARAN HARI,

KARUNA SHEEL NIDHAN.

KAHE TEOON KALI KAL MEN

                LAJ RAKH BHAGWAN.                  

O God, thou art the abode of compassion and good conduct, lover of the devotees, remover of fears.

Shri Teooram implores Thee to protect our honour in these difficult times of Kaliyuga (Iron-Age)

 

2. HE SAMARATH SARVAGYA HARI,

DEEN BANDHU DAATAR.

KAHE TEOON KRIPA KARE,

DE SHUBH GUNAN BHANDAR.

O, Omnipotent, Omniscient Lord, Thou art the protector of the poor and very magnanimous in giving.

Shri Teoonram solicits Thee to bestow the treasure of good virtues on him.

3. MAIN MANGAT NAIN AUR KACHHU,

SANT DARAS HARI DEH.

KAHE TEEON DARSHAN KARE,

SAFAL KARUN TAN EH.

O, Beneficient Lord, I do not seek anything else except Thy sacred vision. Shri Teeonram says,

"Let me have a gracious glance on the serene and sacred faces of saints and make my life successful."

 

4. INDRA RAJ VAIKUNTH SUKH,

NAHIN MANGU DHAN DHAM.

KAHE TEEON MUJHE DIJYE,

HE HARI APNAA NAM.

O, Almighty I do not crave for the Kingdom of Indra, neither do I long for the pleasures of Paradise, nor do

I desire wealth and palaces. The only thing that Shri Teoonram seeks is Thy Sacred name.

5. JITNE KANKE RET KE,

UTNE AVGUN MOIH.

KAHE TEEON GURU BAKSH LE,

SHARAN PADA HUN TOIH.

Lord of Creation, there are as many vices in me, as there are grains of the sand. Shri Teoonram, solicits his preceptor

to forgive him his faults, since he has taken refuge at the sacred feet of his Guru.

6. SATGUR MUJHKO DAAN DE,

PREM BHAKTI VISHWAS.

KAHE TEEON NIT SUMMATI DE,

SANTAN MAHIN NIWAS.

Shri Teoonram solicits his Noble Preceptor to bestow upon him the alms of Love, Devotion and faith,

also to bestow upon him good sense and the company of saintly souls.

 

7. SATGUR TUM PURAN KARO,

MERI YAH ARDAS.

KAHE TEOON MAN MEN KABHI,

RAHE NA JAG KI AAS.

Shri Teoonram requests his Revered Preceptor to fulfil his earnest desire of never having any fascination for this world.

8. SATGUR ATAMGYAN DE,

HARO DEH ABHIMAN.

KAHE TEEON SAB GHAT VISHE,

DIKHLAO BHAGWAN

Shri Teoonram solicits his Satguru to dawn on him the illumination of the soul and remove his pride of body so as

to enable him to see the Image of God in all human beings.

9. RE MAN RAKHO RAM MEN,

PURAN TUM VISHWAS.

KAHE TEEON VISHWAS SE,

HOVE SAB DUKH NAS.

Addressing his own mind Shri Teoonram advises us to have unflinching faith in RAM .

This perfect and full faith in God will remove all the sorrows and sufferings.

 

10. RAM BHAROSA RAKH TUM,

AUR BHAROSA TYAG.

KAHE TEEON HARI SHARAN LE,

KHOLO APNA BHAG.

Shri Teoonram suggests to have full faith in RAM and not to depend on any other support except to

take refuge at the Lotus feet of Lord and left the fortune smile.

11. CHINTA BHOJAN VASAN KI,

TEEON KARTE KAHIN.

HARI VISHWAMBHAR DE SABAHIN,

KYA TUM DEVHIN NAHIN.

Why do you worry about your food and clothes? Shri Teoonram asks, "Will the Lord of entire

creation who provides food for all, will deprive thee of they food?"

12. UDAR BHARAN KE KARNE,

BHATKAT KAHIN AJAAN.

TYAGE CHINTA PET KI,

SUMRO SHRI BHAGWAN.

Shri Teoonram asks, "Why do you wander hither and thither for filling up your stomach? Give up this

worry and instead constantly remember the sacred name of the Lord.

 

13. KAHE TEEON SANSAR MEN,

BAAT YAHI HAI SAAR.

BHAJAN KARO BHAGWAN KA,

CHHODO VISHAYA VIKAR.

Shri Teoonram asserts, "The only substantial thing in this world is to sing the songs of devotion in praise of

God and give up all vices and lustful longings."

14. KAHE TEEON HARINAM JAP,

BHOOLO NA KSHIN EK.

BHOGAT BHOGAT VISHAYA RAS,

BEETE JANAM ANEK.

Shri Teoonram exhorts use to recite constantly the pious name of the Lord and never forget it for a moment,

for many lives in our previous births have been wasted by indulging in vices and lustful longings.

15. MAAT GARABH MEN TUM KIYA,

HARI SE JO IKRAR.

KAHE TEEON TIHIN YAAD KAR,

SUMRO SAT KARTAR.

Shri Teoonram reminds us of our pledge made in the wombs of our mothers. He advises us to

remember the pledge and constantly remember God.

16. MAN BUDHI INDRIYA PRAN DHAN,

JIHIN DINI NAR DEH.

KAHE TEOON TIS RAM KO,

NIT SUMRAN KAR LEH.

Benevolent God, who has bestowed upon us this beautiful body, senses, intelligence and breath of life,

must be remembered constantly, and for ever.

 

17. POORVA PUNIYA TE PAIYA,

MANUSH KA AVTAR.

KAHE TEOON TIHIN SAFAL KAR,

SUMRE SIRJAN HAR.

It is because our noble actions in our previous births, that we have been incarnated in human form.

We should make our life successful by constantly remembering the creator of cosmos.

 

18. CHAURASI LAKH YONI KA,

MANUSH HAI SIRTAJ.

KAHE TEOON HARI BHAJAN KA,

KAR ISS TAN MEN KAJ.

Man is the crown of entire creation of eighty-four lakh forms of life. Shri Teoonram says,

"Complete this important assignment of remembering God in this human life."

 

19. GAFLAT MEN NA GANVAIYE,

MANUSH DEH MAHAAN.

KAHE TEOON TUM JAGKE,

BHAJ LE SHRI BHAGWAN.

Shri Teoonram advises us not to waste away this precious human life in indolence. He exhorts us to wake up from the

slumber of ignorance and constantly remember Ram.

20. KAHE TEOON TUM CHET LE,

AAB KUCHH BIGRI NAHIN.

DAYA DHARAM SHUBH KARAM KAR,

HARI SUMARO MAN MAHIN.

Shri Teoonram asks us to wake up, for, it is not too late to mend our ways. We should do noble deeds, charity,

and compassion, along with reciting the sacred name of God.
